Frank Bush is a lifelong resident of District #03 and has an extensive track record of service to the community.

Frank Bush is committed to:

  • Public safety, government efficiency, community involvement, business development and the environment.
  • Removing the barriers that hinder the retention and recruitment of Police Officers in the LAPD.
  • The full restoration of the Senior Lead Officer Program and other specialized units that have been eliminated.
  • The expansion of Firefighter and Paramedic services.
  • The expansion of Neighborhood Code Watch Program, residential and business areas.
  • Presenting and supporting legislation to strengthen ordinances that maintain the quality of life throughout the city.
  • Expanding and strengthening existing youth activities and developing new mentoring and recreation programs.
  • Developing new and strengthening existing programs for Senior Citizens.
  • Supporting the continued redevelopment of the business areas throughout the district.
  • Making the City of Los Angeles more business friendly. To retain existing and draw new business and employment opportunities to the area.
  • Improving the transit system and finding ways to reduce the traffic congestion in the valley.

About Frank Bush
  • An employee of the City of Los Angeles since July 1989. Frank currently works as a Senior Inspector for the Department of Building and Safety in the Code Enforcement Bureau. Has also worked in the Code Enforcement Section of the City of Los Angeles Housing Department and during his Career with the City has received numerous commendations for excellent public service.
  • Prior to his city service Frank Bush was a business owner. As a licensed general contractor he operated his own construction company.
  • Frank has a "can do" attitude and has established strong working relationships and a team mentality with Neighborhood Groups, Community Members, LAPD Officers, Deputy City Attorneys and other agencies to resolve blight and quality of life issues throughout the community.
  • Instrumental in the implementation of the City Wide Nuisance Abatement Program's Problem Property Resolution Team.
  • Served for three years as Council Liaison for Building & Safety and is very familiar with the inner workings of the City of Los Angeles Government.
  • Has received numerous commendations for Dedicated and Meritorious Service to the community from Council Members, the Mayor, both the United States Senate and Congress, the Encino Chamber of Commerce and the Encino Property owners Association.
  • Served on the Department of Building and Safety's Affirmative Action Advisory Board.
  • Has a lengthy record of service to the youth of our community and has been honored by the LAUSD, Associated Administrators of the LAUSD, City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department, Students, Teachers and Administrators of Reseda High School.
  • Voluntarily managed youth baseball and football programs at the Reseda Recreation Center from 1988-1999.
  • Has volunteered at Reseda High School since 1987 and was instrumental in forming the Booster Club. The Booster Club works to support the students with study materials, equipment, student recognition, scholarships, etc....
  • Was instrumental in the implementation of the LAPD Project Amigo Program at the Reseda Recreation Center. This is a program for mentoring and guiding youth.
  • Developed Middle School Outreach Program for Building & Safety. This program was designed to mentor middle school students with career and further education ideas.
  • Frank is married to Judy, who is also involved in community service. The Bush's have four children, two grandchildren, three dogs and a cat.
