The questions were prepared by the League of Women Voters of Ohio and asked of all candidates for this office.
Read the answers from all candidates.
1. What specific measures do you support to increase equal access to health care in Ohio?
The number one reason of our expensive health care is due to excessive political regulation and control. To improve access to health care for all Ohioans, I propose phase out of the state income tax over 3 - 5 years so that people have the money to pay for needed health care, repeal all of the state mandated health insurance coverage that artificially drive up costs, replace state licensing laws, which drive up costs without quality, with private certification. In essence, let's get sickening politics out of health care.
2. What are your views on legislation to study racial profiling by law enforcement?
As a Libertarian, I detest racial profiling used by law enforcement. The number one reason is this country's failed and insane War on Drug users. Therefore, the best way to stop racial profiling is to end this destructive Ware on Drug users. The benefits of this peace include safer neighborhoods, 50% reduction in crime, elimination of prison overcrowding to make room for murderers, rapists, and thieves, and significantly less corruption of police, judges, and government.
3. What stable funding source do you support for the Ohio Housing Trust Fund?
The best way to increase affordable housing is to dramatically reduce the amount of Political control Over housing. Therefore, I propose a. phaseout of the state income tax over 3 - 5 years so that people have more of their own money to spend on housing, b. repeal of any state regulation Or law that artificially drives up the cost of land and housing construction, c. and urge local governments to do the same, such as zoning.
U.S. Senate: Total words in answer to the question may not exceed 100 words. The word limit must be observeds. Words over the limit will be cut off in published information.
