Richardson, Jr., is a retired educator with 32 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. He has served as an elementary, high school, and vocational school teacher; elementary and high school principal; coach; high school sports official; and high school athletic director. He is now involved in farming operations in both Ohio and Kentucky. Richardson has served his community as a township trustee and is the past president of the Clermont County Township Association. He is also the past president of the Bethel Lions Club and holds membership in the Farm Bureau Association and the Masonic Lodge. He has attended the Amelia Nazarene Church for over 30 years. In 1997, he was the Monroe Township (Clermont County) Citizen of the Year. Currently, Richardson serves on the Board's Strategic Plan Committee. In addition, he is a member of the National Association of State Boards of Education's Study Group on Confronting Social Issues: The Role of Schools. Richardson holds a bachelor's degree from Berea College in Kentucky and a master of education from Xavier University. He has completed additional postgraduate studies at Xavier and the University of Cincinnati. Representing the Tenth State Board district, Richardson serves the following counties: Adams, Brown, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Gallia, Greene, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Madison, Meigs, part of Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton. Richardson's four-year term ends December 31, 2000. |
