Ive served on the Hospital Board for Twelve Years. In 1985 when I was first Elected to the Board, the previous year they had a loss of $350,000. The Hospital was facing an unsure future and Moral was very low. The employees were literally running to the Bank to cash their checks. Our task was to save the Hospital and bring it up to it's now high standards. Since 1985 We have shown a profit each and every year. Last Year we had a 1.7 million net profit. I'm very proud of the job we did and the one we're doing. I'm currently the Chairman of the Planning and General Affairs Committee which is in the process of plannning a major re-modeling of the Hospital. We are looking at spending $25 to possibly $80 Million Dollars. Yes That's right, 25-80 Million. Hard to belive looking back to 1985. This is the reason I'm running for re-election, History is always needed to be remembered. To keep moving forward, to also not repeat past mistakes. Another fact that I'm very proud of: My Wife "Willy" was the first RN Hired at Oak Valley, Twenty-eight Years ago and still works there on the Med-Surg Floor on the Night Shift. |
