Political Philosophy for Sandra Benitez
Candidate for |
I believe that all residents of a community or a city must be involved in the local government either by voting, running for office or volunteering for various committees. It is important that each registered voter exercise their right and vote after studying each candidate. To paraphrase Eleanor Roosevelt: "Our chief obligation is to vote, but it is important to vote intelligently". I believe in fairness. Each resident of our city has the right to speak on issues of concern. That may be done during each council meeting. These meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month. I consider myself to be a community activist rather than a politician. I believe in working with other agencies that can bring improvements or social programs to Riverbank. |
