MARSHALL SANCHEZ FOR STATE ASSEMBLY, 26TH DISTRICT

Marshall Sanchez brings over 25 years of experience in Agriculture, Business and Industry to the race for the 26th Assembly District Seat. Marshall began working on his father's farm in the Los Banos/Firebaugh area as a youth in the late 1950s to the mid 1960s. He worked for IBM in the mid and late 1970's along with simultaneously owning and operating a farm in Gilroy until the mid 1980s. In 1985 Marshall acquired a Real Estate License while working on his apprenticeship in the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry in the Silicon Valley. During this time he was a member of the California Association of Realtors and served on the San Benito Board of Realtors as Local Government and Legislative Chairman until 1989. Marshall obtained his Real Estate Brokers License in 1998 and has worked in the Real Estate Industry for over a decade.

Marshall completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management and Organization Development from Fresno Pacific University, along with having completed his Associates of Arts Degree from Gavilan College.

Marshall has shown his commitment to the community through his participation in various volunteer activities. Marshall is currently a volunteer fireman with the Merced County Fire Department, where he currently serves as Chief of his volunteer company. He has also served as a member of the Westside Rideshare Advisory Committee in the early 1990s.

Marshall has also shown a commitment to youth. He has been an assistant football coach for both the Westside Niners Youth Football Organization, along with the serving the same capacity for the Gilroy Youth Football organization. Also, in 1975, Marshall served as Assistant Football Coach under coach Bob Garcia at Gavilan College in Gilroy. From 1975 to 1981, Marshall was a CCD teacher at St Mary's School in Gilroy.

Marshall is current Chairman and past Vice-Chairman of the Merced County Republican Party. He also serves as a delegate to the California Republican Party.
