Candidate for
City Council; City of Tracy

This information is provided by the candidate

There are several things I have consistently worked to accomplish while on the Tracy City Council.

1. Enhance the education of our children. I and my wife attended Tracy Schools, my two daughters attended here and my son in at Tracy High now. I believe thay have gotten a good education. One of my daughters has graduated college and Kristy will in December. While they got a good education here we need to be sure the children that are now in Tracy schools have adequate educational facilities to pace growth. I an currently seeking to have the school districts provide accountability to the City Council by submitting a quarterly "report card' on how they are managing to pace growth. If they don't get good grades, we must slow growth to assure proper facilities.

2. Strengthen residential building architectural review. I have always been the lone Councilperson who insists on architectural excellence. I can't do it alone. I will fight to establish a citizen led architectural review board for all residential and commercial building in Tracy.

3. Insist on more playing fields and parks for our children. I have consistently fought for our youth. I was the major force on establishing the parameters to make it possible to provide the new 27 acre sports park on 11th street in tracy. this park will allow for youth baseball, softball and soccer with first class facilities, along with providing for adult softball needs.

While my success on the ACE commuter train and the sports park have been good, there's more work to do. I will continue to keep the pressure on to insist on excellence in Tracy.
