Candidate for Mayor; City of Tracy

With a growing community, the need for new schools and upgrades to existing schools is necessary. I will maintain the positive relationship that currently exist between the local school district and the city. I will continue to support the collection of developer fees up and beyond the state required amount. for new school construction. I will assist the school district in exploring opportunities for developer built schools, insuring that schools are in place at the time they are needed.

The Tracy community has a great opportunity, as we begin to develop the Tracy Learning Center. My focus will continue to partner with Tracy School District and Delta College. Through a community effort, 200 acres are available to construct an elementary school, middle school, high school, junior college, and an element of business to support learning activities at this site. With fundamentals in communications and exposure to high tech learning, this campus will provide great educational opportunities for the future.
