Political Philosophy for Cynthia Icardo
Candidate for |
While I am basically conservative in nature, I am very objective and base decisions on studying and trying to understand both sides of an issue. I believe we must recognize and be tolerant of the differences in people. Integrity, honesty and respect for self and others are very important values for all areas of our lives. As adults, it is our responsibility in whatever role we play in the life of a young person whether parent, teacher, friend or neighbor to help guide young people by example and by sharing our wisdom ,time and skills. It should be our aim to help them to meet or exceed their potential to become self-reliant, productive citizens. As for a "political" philosopy for this non-partisan position I believe in as much localized control as possible as to how our monies and resources are best spent. |
