Mary Rocha has dedicated her life to community serivce to improve the lives of chilren and their families.
Throughout her public service career, Mary Rocha has put children and their health and education first. As a past Antioch School District Board Trustee, community director of a program bringing health care to children, child care leader, and elected official, Rocha has worked tirelessly to help improve the lives of children and families. The people of this County have long known if they need help with children or any children's program, the person to call is Mary Rocha.

Education, child care, after-school activities, library services, and intervention programs for at-risk youth are all areas where Rocha has made a difference in this community. She has been an advocate for child care programs and parenting classes and is coordinator of volunteer programs for dental services for children. She is currently working to enroll 4,000 children without health care into the Healthy Famlies Program.

She is committed to improving the quality of life for East County children and their families. And this is not simply a campaign slogan to her; this is the work she has done all her life and will continue to do as Contra Costa County Supervisor.
