Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Aleida Rios

Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Pittsburg

This information is provided by the candidate

I have the leadership needed to take Pittsburg to the next level. I want to improve our schools, reduce traffic, fix city streets, and bring new jobs to Pittsburg.

I have a plan to improve our schools. I have a plan to form a partnership between the City and the schools. The plan will increase educational opportunities for our children, increase teacher pay, and provide more recreation for our families.

I want to build the Buchanan Bypass to take commuter traffic off City streets. We need to repair our streets and fix the potholes. Traffic and poor roads threaten our economic future.

I want to bring good jobs and shopping to Pittsburg. The City must make it easier to open a business in Pittsburg. We have land available for business, workers waiting for jobs and shoppers ready to shop. It's time for the City to do its part to bring new jobs and business to Pittsburg.

I want government accountability by issuing an annual report card to the citizen indicating city government accomplishments.
