  • Danville Planning Commission: 1983-1987, Chair 1986
  • Preservation of open spaces, ridgelines, historic buildings, creeks, heritage trees
  • Development of an outstanding park system, playing fields, community facilities, Iron Horse Trail, cultural and recreational programs
  • Leader in design and completion of Library and Community Center, Town Green
  • Advocate of quality police services, DARE.
  • Responsible fiscal management
  • Support for community celebrations, initiator of Farmers' Market.

  • Leader in countywide growth management and tightening of the County Urban Limit Line
