The election of three Danville councilmembers will be held on November 7, 2000. I, am as you know, running for one of those seats. I am very proud of my record over the last nine years as a Council member in the Town of Danville. I am especially proud of the restoration of Hartz Avenue, the library/community center, the restoration of the Veterans Hall, the state of the Art Soccer field at Diablo Vista Park, the new swimming pool at Monte Vista High School and soon to be new gym at Los Cerros

My wife for over 46 years, Joe Anne, worked in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District for over 30 years in Danville. Twenty five of those years at Greenbrook Elementary School and the last two years at Tassajara Hills School. Our five children were raised in Danville and eight of our 12 grandchildren are being raised here in Danville. So you can see that I have a commitment and an obligation to the people and to the Town of Danville. I promise that I will continue to make sure that the quality of life that we all have moved here for will be maintained.

I have no agenda except the people of Danville. Nine years ago when I ran for the Town Council I said I wanted to be the conduit between Town Hall and the citizens of Danville. I believe I have done exactly that. To quote one of the local newspapers in their endorsement of me and I quote "Doyle, seeking his third term, is a salt-of-the-earth type, a meat and potatoes regular guy. More than and other candidate Doyle has the ear of the people He regularly passes on their concerns to those who run the city on a day to day basis" . Doyle, too, realizes the importance of regional approaches to such problems as transportation. End of quote.
