Political Philosophy for Bill Tice
Candidate for |
The reason for this writing is to introduce myself. I am Bill Tice and I am running for city council. I am an issues candidate. The two city council candidates that I'm running against talk about solving problems and that's all. Years ago I was pitching in a ball game and it was in the last of the ninth inning and my team had a lead. There were two outs and I had two strikes on their terrifying cleanup hitter. My fast ball was gone; my thoughts went back to a family picnic years before when an uncle had demonstrated a slip pitch. The arm motion created the illusion that the ball was changing speeds. I had thrown it several times but had no confidence in it. Well, I pitched the slip pitch; the batter swung and missed the ball. The game was over and we won. Please let me use this attitude in solving or working with others to solve this city's problems. To simply talk about them is not enough, but to get a win, solve the problem, and move on the next one. The tree ordinance - a reward not a penalty. The traffic law, a reward not a penalty. Vote Bill Tice The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man . . . runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong. (Prov. 18:10, Amp. Bible) |
