I firmly believe that I can help Long Beach continue with a positive Fiscal Growth.

I will bridge the ever-widening gap between the Citizens of Long Beach and the City Council.

Give the Citizens who speak at the Council meetings back the five minutes the justly deserve with the opportunity to use visual aids as part of their presentation. Developers have the time needed and visual aids in their presentations and the Citizens must have the same courtesy.

I will push for a time limit for all Councilmembers, when they have the floor. They are always concerned about time, but none of the Council Members have ever thought of limiting their speaking time.

I am not an advocate of Contracting Out, but if we are forced to operate the City this way, we must have all contractors belong to the California Contractors Association or an appropriate organization. These contractors must pay their employees an livable wage and offer health benefits. They must hire within the Community.

Our beaches are polluted, and we must hold Cities north of us responsible for their polluted rivers that dump their waste onto our beaches.

We must solve the Coke Dust pollution problem. This problem has been going on too long. We are breathing this by-product of coal and it is extremely dangerous, expecially for our children.

I would like to see more green spaces. More open spaces and a lot less concrete. Greening our schools. Get our children out of diesel run school busses.

Restore the Los Cerritos Wetlands. Reconfigure the breakwater and create a marine protected area.

I consider myself an environmentalist and it is a great concern in my campaign. Although I do believe in progress in the City of Long Beach, I feel we can grow with a conservation friendly mentality.
