Political Philosophy for Peggy J. Sadler
Candidate for |

|
I believe in the basic philosophy of the Republican Party: that government should be limited and that most control should be at the local level by those people most effected by it. I believe that good government is based on the individual and that each person's ability, dignity, freedom and responsibility must be honored and recognized. I believe in the free enterprise system and the encouragement of individual initiative. I believe in a strong national defense, while sharing a desire for peace with people everywhere. I believe in the separation of church and state, but also that the government should not make laws "against" religion; that we are guaranteed freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. I believe in a sound fiscal policy, not taking more from the working people than is needed for safety and national defense. I believe that we should welcome all who share our philosophy into the Republican party, and not expect that we will always or must agree on every issue. Finally, I believe that the least government is the best government, and that individuals should be responsible and accountable for their own choices and actions. |
