Partial Listing of My PositionsI believe - like you do - that our schools need to be stronger, more effective, more accountable. And I believe we need to pay our teachers better and give local school boards and site councils more control. I believe - like you do - that traffic is a nightmare and that we must fix it to preserve our quality of life and our local prosperity. I think we need to widen highway 101 and establish a light rail system that's fast, efficient, cost-effective, and user-friendly. I believe - like you do - that we need to help improve the quality of life for our seniors, with more careful monitoring of nursing homes, more MediCal funding for prescription drugs and long-term care, as well as targeted tax credits. I believe - like you do - that government should truly serve you. Which is why I'll push hard to make state services available over the Internet. I believe - like you do - that we must preserve our beautiful environment. I also believe that we must pay fair market value for property to preserve the rights of local property owners. I believe - like you do - in a woman's right to privacy and choice. |
