Proposition 13 Reform

Comercial and Industrial Property Reassessment

I propose that commercial and industrial property be periodically reassessed at one percent of market value.

If commercial and industrial property were to be assessed at one percent of market value - lack of source revenue for schools, cities and counties would be solved.

Taxes collected in the first year would be approximately 7-10 billion dollars, and growing over time with the economy.

That is, if Proposition 13 is reformed as stated above, most of the monetary problems which we now have in California, would be solved.

Homeowners would not be affected by this reform.

That is, if Proposition 13 is reformed as stated above, most of the monetary problems we now have in California, would disappear. I'm of the opinion that if Proposition 13 is reformed that money would be available to propose special treatment to include; homeowners, renters, senior citizens, disabled persons, first time home buyers, and small businesses.
