I believe strongly in the preservation of HMB's character and quality of life. I'm a mom with kids in grad school, a Planning Commissioner who has worked hundreds of volunteer hours updating HMB's General Plan-- our development constitution, which is now before our City Council. I am determined to see it through to completion.

I stand for:

• Prompt implementation of Measure D--- one percent annual residential growth, which voters approved two to one. No more pushing individual lot owners to the end of the line.

• Evenhanded enforcement of policies in the Local Coastal Plan--- a crucial chapter of the General Plan. No more developers filling wetlands to circumvent the law.

• Energetic pursuit of Coastside economic growth, including fiber-optics for telecommuting, and direct appeals to the Bay Area Council for responsible investment.

The effort I've expended on the General Plan is a measure of the energy and focus I'll bring to HMB's City Council. I will encourage and monitor sensible economic development, and use my corporate contacts and experience to serve as an ambassador, courting clean outside industry and jobs.

Preserve what we have. Plan for the future. For HMB progress, vote Toni Taylor.
