I Need a MandateBy Alan M. GilbertCandidate for Democratic Party Central Committee; County of San Mateo; Supervisorial District 2 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I need your vote to give me the strongest mandate and to send a message to the Democratic establishment and to the Central Committee. While locally we elect most of our Democratic candidates, the pervasive lack of understanding of our issues and interests imperils our chances of retaining the Presidency and recapturing both Houses of Congress. While the Central Committee devotes its monthly meetings to housekeeping (officer and committee reports) it and our politicians who have visibility are unresponsive to the many press attacks that would sway the less knowledgeable electorate. We (including moderate Republicans) need to recapture this country from the right wing extremists by properly explaining our achievements, the obstruction of the Republicans, and refuting the lies about such issues as selling out to the Chinese Communists. A recent California Democratic Council convention had the theme "Issues are the Agenda." I need your vote to give emphasis to this reality. |
