In this age of increasing complexity of legal and factual issues, it is imperative that judges understand and commit to continuing to educate themselves on developments in law and legal procedure.

I have actively participated in programs sponsored by the California Judicial College, the California Judges Association, and the California Center for Judicial Education and Research, and will continue to do so.
