Biography/Resume/CV L. Christine Visnich Chair of Community Development Greenhills Village Council Chris and husband Rudy have lived on Avenell Lane In Greenhills for 29 years. Their grown children: Brock and Valerie, attended Damon Road Elementary, Greenhills Middle School and graduated from Greenhills High School and Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. A three-year member of Village Council, Chris was appointed to an unexpired term on Council in January 1997. As Chair of Community Development, Chris has organized a nine-member Community Development Committee, a fifteen-member Board of Neighborhood Representatives and serves on the Greenhills Zoning Board. Through Chris' leadership, these active volunteer groups have been Responsible for bringing new citizen involvement and energy to the Village. Beautification projects, "Concerts on the Commons," the new Pioneer Park with the Ohio Historical Marker, the Village 60th Anniversary Celebration, "Light Up Greenhills" and Greenhills Clean Sweep a some of the results of her vision and dedication to creation of a better quality of life to our community. Chris is Vice President/Director of Bason Associates, a Cincinnati retained Executive Search Consulting firm, based in Blue Ash. She is Chairman of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Retention Committee, is Past-President of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Cincinnati Chapter of the National Human Resource Association and is an Ordained Elder and member of the Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian. During her early years in Greenhills, Chris was a Cub Scout Den Mother/Den Leader Coach two years and was a Girl Scout Leader for two years. She served as Chairperson of a Mayor's Special Committee to evaluate the Greenhills Volunteer Fire Department, in 1991. Chris was born and raised in Ashland, Ohio and is a graduate of Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio. Upon graduation from college, she worked as a Child Welfare Caseworker for Summit County Child Welfare in Akron, Ohio for two years before marrying and moving to Columbus, Ohio. While her husband attended graduate school at Ohio State, Chris worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker at the State Juvenile Diagnostic Center, in Columbus for close to two years. In her spare time, Chris enjoys family activities, which include their three grandchildren, tennis and travel. Chris has brought fresh new organizational and leadership skills to Council and the energy and vision to build a volunteer organization, which gets things done.
