- Title: Investment Philosophy:
-
As township clerk, I have the responsibility of investing township assets. My investment philosophy (as outlined in my written township investment policy) is to invest in safe investment vehicles (safety), which match the cash needs of the township (liquidity), yet earn a fair and competitive investment return (yield). Consistent application of this philosophy has produced over $1.1 million of investment income to Delhi since I first took office in 1995.
- Financial Future of Delhi
-
Delhi is faced with several financial challenges in the coming years (building, equipping and operating a new west-side firehouse; re-build the Neeb Road firehouse- pay for new communication center radios,). I have structured a financial plan for Delhi which focuses on meeting these financial obligations with a minimum of borrowing (thereby saving interest expense) and postponing the eventual need for levies as far into the future as possible.
- Township Clerk - Defined
-
Delhi Township is, in essence, an $8 million corporation of which you
(the taxpayer) are the owner. On election day, you have the opportunity to select the Chief Financial Officer of your company. I ask that you focus on the qualifications of the two candidates for Clerk and select the person whom you feel will best represent, account for, and administer the financial operations of your company.
