1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?

) Madeira has a Metro Bus Park & Ride system in place that provides commuter service to downtown and other employment areas in Cincinnati. We are also conveniently located near the 1-71 corridor

As highways become more crowded and parking becomes more difficult, the demand for public transportation will increase.

Therefore, we would support any improved, low-cost, mass transit system that could offer our residents better access to jobs in the Cincinnati area, but would not adversely impact our community.

2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.

We do not support public matching funds for political campaigns. We are opposed to the use of taxpayer's money for those purposes. We do support stricter controls on campaign contributions that provide for more public disclosure.

3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?

The benefits of having a land use plan are that it helps to guide the development of a community in a rational manner The detriments to having land use planning prior to zoning decisions are that sometimes a community can get locked into a plan decision that needs to be re-evaluated in the future.

Overall, we feel the benefits of having a land use plan prior to zoning outweigh the detriments.
