Personal I am a person just trying to get by, like you. I've been a resident in Norwood since 1983, a homeowner since 1986. I'm married to Jeffrey Adams a life long resident. We have four children in the Norwood school system. Our family resides at 5113 Silver St., a home I purchased as a single parent. I understand your hopes and frustrations and am able to voice them clearly. I am also not easily intimidated and have the independence needed to implement changes. What have I done: I've assisted many residents with issues regarding curbs, hazards, sanitary and building codes Participated as coordinator and crew leader of Clean Up the Highland Days at Hunter and Fenwick Parks For your safety I spent the day in Dayton, OH at the EPA office reviewing documents on the Globe-Wenicke Site (currently owned by General Motors Corp.) slated for development Arranged meetings with county officials to discuss the installation of Headstart programs in Ward 4. Have attended City Council meetings and Planning Commission meetings Volunteer at PACE Telecommunications to help bring you council meetings via public access on Cable NCT channel 4 Opened my home for all residents on National Night Our, as part of my commitment to Neighborhood Watch Programs Hosted meetings for Neighborhood watch Programs Researched police Run data to pinpoint problem areas and made recommendations to officials Made public the Neyer Development & Contractors development plans for the Globe/Triangles site |
