The questions were prepared by the League of Women Voters of Hamilton County and asked of all candidates for this office. Read the answers from all candidates. Questions & Answers1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?
Norwood is located between the two major highways in the Norwood area and has a number of bus routes running through the city. The need for additional public transportation is minimal 2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.
No for the most part municipal elections do not need more regulations. Additional requirements would discourage qualified people from running for public office. 3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?
Land use planning enables a municipality to see the whole picture of the impact of zoning decisions on an area and helps to avoid spot zoning or zoning decisions made to resolved only a particular problem
Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League, but formatted for Web display. Candidates were asked to limit their responses to 300 words for all 3 answers. Simple spelling or typographical errors were corrected after confirmation with the candidate. |
