1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?
|
Answer from Gary W. Storer:
I support public trans. as a citizen convenience and its impact on the environment. Public trans. is now available and successful in the bordering communities of Whitewater Twp. and Harrison.
2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.
|
Answer from Gary W. Storer:
I believe in a more level playing field for the average citizen to become politically involved. I am opposed to matching funds and contributions to campaign funds should be public record. Matching funds would burden the taxpayer and eliminate choice.
3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?
|
Answer from Gary W. Storer:
Land use planning is essential but not prior to or in place of local zoning resolutions or local comprehensive land use plans.
