1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?
|
Answer from Donald C. Rohdenburg:
Existing public transportation is adequate in Deer Park. There is definitely no need for light rail in Deer Park. It would cut the city in half and be a safety hazard to our park and four schools.
2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.
|
Answer from Donald C. Rohdenburg:
Not in favor of county-wide finance regulations. In favor of less government, not more.
3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?
|
Answer from Donald C. Rohdenburg:
Land use planning is beneficial to prevent urban sprawl and traffic congestion present in newer communities in northern Hamilton County. The city of Deer Park has few lots left for development. Our main concern is to preserve our residential districts.
