Political Philosophy for John B. LomaxCandidate for |
I filed as a candidate when it was reported that two incumbants and one new candidate, Ron Shepherd, were running for the three open positions. That did not offer the opportunity to the voters to replace the old Board. Subsequently, David Walker has filed as a candidate. I offer my services and ask for your vote, and recommend your votes also for Ronald W. Shepherd and David Walker to fill the three vacancies on the Board of District Directors for the West Bay Sanitary District. My strong background in planning of large projects and monitoring the project performance and finances will be an asset to the Board and to the District. My training in management practices, my years of experience as a manager at SRI International, and my public service as Director of the Law Enforcement Support Agency have all sharpened my skills as an enlightened manager. I'm sure that I can contribute to improvement of District management practices and policies and to staff morale. I am not accepting campaign contributions and will spend less that $5 in running for this position. Neither am I soliciting endorsements from local leaders. I expect that my qualifications, as stated on this web page and expressed in letters to and interviews by the local papers, will speak for themselves. If elected, I will serve to the best of my ability to benefit the customers and the community. |
