Courage and Commitment
The courage to speak our forcefully is my commitment to the people of Redwood City. I will continue to fight on the side of those who pay their taxes, live peaceably with their neighbors, and who demand nothing more from their city government than that it never loses sight of the people it serves. This fundamental compact I have with the people of my home town is a threat to lazy bureaucrats, opportunistic special-interest groups, and uncaring outsiders. But with the people of Redwood City in my corner, this is one fighter who is going all 12 rounds. I fought for a return to the basics in our city's priorities: police, parks, and potholes. I am fighting to widen Woodside Road and Highway 101 to alleviate traffic congestion. I will continue my fight against programs such as bilingual education and work to make sure all children learn the English language. And, I am fighting to make sure the City Council lives up to its word to the people by abolishing the utility tax. With the honor of your vote, I will continue the fight.
