I have two sons attending school in this district, and I am active in every aspect of their education. Every week for the past five years, I have volunteered my time in their classrooms and have even coached the school soccer team. As a founding parent of Adelante Magnet School, I was elected to Adelante's first parent/staff site council in 1994-95. In addition to taking responsibility for sound fiscal management, this initial site council laid the foundation for the warm and responsive community of staff and parents that characterizes Adelante School today.

Working with my colleagues on the School Board, I want develop a better partnership with our communities to channel our energies into educational improvement for all our children.
