Issues - Persily San Rafael City Council Campaign
1. CITY TO STOP RUINING THE BEAUTY OF SAN RAFAEL BY GRANTING BUILDING PERMITS TO DEVELOPERS TO BUILD HIGH COST HOUSING.

2. This city has been a developers paradise - STOP IT

3. Work with the non-profit agencies and find or develop housing for the the homeless families - NOT 60 days and you're out on the street transitional housing.

4. City to declare a HOUSING EMERGENCY and stop all rent increases for residents living in apartments with over 4 units - unless, landlord can prove he is not getting a fair return, as we now have this kind of law protecting residents in mobilehome parks.

5. The city to pass a 'JUST EVICTION LAW' as we now have enacted for residents in mobilehome parks.

6. The City Council to chang its policy in its non-participation of important State and Federal issues, such as, opposition to privatization of Social Security and Schools.

7. Other cities have done it and this city has to do it. Increase the minimum wage to $7.50 per hour. The San Rafael cost of living is very high and more money is needed for low wage employees.

8. Thousands of the children living in San Rafael are without medical insurance - City to help in the campaign to establish Universal Medical care as every other country in the world has established.

9. Marijuana for those who need it for medical purposes.

10. City to develop affordable child care programs.

11. City to campain for lower insurance rates for young drivers.
