Political Philosophy for Christian E. "Chris" HassoldCandidate for |
I do call myself a non-traditional student because I have taken a long and unusual route through the educational system. However, for me this was the right choice because real world experience has proven to be very stimulating and cohesive with my personal goals. I believe that each individual learns and grows in his/her own way. For many students, the traditional learning environment works well. With equal contributions from both parents and teachers, these students can achieve great success. There are some students who learn better under different conditions or in a different environment. I think that it is important for a parent and educator to identify students who have special needs, determine the best way for them to learn and provide the environment where they can excel. This is doing what is in the best interests of the student. |
