Top Priorities if Elected
  • I will work to preserve the unique character of our neighborhoods with open space and wise land use policies.
  • I support the close cooperation of the City Council with School Board members and school administrators to maintain the highest quality education.
  • Traffic is a major issue. I intend to improve traffic flow and mitigate problems by taking an active role regionally as well as locally.
Position Papers
Position & Endorsement on Traffic Issues
Traffic is a major problem which will not disappear. I will continue to actively oppose overdevelopment in Lafayette and neighboring communities, encourage the use of mass transit, work to improve traffic flow in the downtown area and carefully oversee the spending of road bond funds.
Schools and Library Position
I support Measure B, the Lafayette School District Improvement Bond Measure, and support the Library Committee's recommendations for the purchase of the existing library and plans for the construction of a new library.
Position on Neighborhoods and the State of Our City
I will continue to listen to the voices in our neighborhoods, protect and preserve our ridgelines, viewscapes and open spaces, continue the implementation of the General Plan which will improve the downtown, and provide us with better access, landscaping, aesthetics and quality of life.
