PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND October 1994 to present: Harbor Master, Antioch Marina, Antioch, California. Responsible for the day to day operation of the Antioch Municipal Marina, (a Division of the City of Antioch Public Works Department), the surrounding parks, piers, and leaseholds. Plans, organizes, schedules, coordinates, and directs the operation and maintenance of the Antioch Marina. Inspects the facilities, responds to the needs of the various marina users and the public, and develops marketing and other advertising programs, promoting the marina and marina related facilities. Works with lessees, responding to changing needs and direction of operations. Arranges for berthing and berth rental to the boating public. Supervises, trains and evaluates personnel, develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards. Prepares and administers Division budget. Researches and writes proposals applying for various grants and loans. Appears before the City Council, Commissions and committees, and makes recommendations to the Deputy Director of Public Works, City Manager, and the City Council. Responsible for the day to day operation of the 1000 berth Municipal Marina, the surrounding parks, piers, and leaseholds. Planned, coordinated, and directed the operation of the Berkeley Marina. Prepared budgets and budgetary estimates of staff, equipment and materials. Researched and wrote proposals applying for various grants and loans. Work involved all phases of property management, including hiring and training of personnel, customer relations, and accounts receivable. Mar. 1968 - July 1971: Experimental and development model builder, McDonnell-Douglas Astronautics Division, Santa Monica, CA. Developed and built test models for the DC-9 and DC-10 commercial aircraft, and several confidential and secret government projects. Held a secret clearance.
