Quality Schools, Traffic Solutions and Neighborhood safety are critical to protecting our quality of life
Quality Schools

Top-notch schools are a key to our future. Developers must pay the full cost of school impacts. We need to plan with the School district to make sure our schools can meet student needs. We need to partner with schools to provide day care options and teen activities like ESS, Teen Zone PAL, School Resource Officers and DARE.

Traffic Solutions

We are nearing completion of the Highway 84 bypass, which will get commute traffic off First Street. We also must work regionally to solve traffic problems and improve transit so it is a viable alternative for commuters. I represent our city on the Altamont Commuter Express board and Wheels, and have successfully lobbied Washington for the dollars to solve local and regional traffic problems. We need East-West arterials to give our residents non-freeway alternatives to get to their jobs. Jack London to Stoneridge in Pleasanton and North Canyons Parkway to Dublin Blvd will avoid neighborhood cut-through traffic from I580 congestion. We must also complete arterials like Concannon Blvd. and Greenville Road.

Neighborhood Safety

Our quality of life depends on keeping our neighborhoods safe. With better police coverage, violent crime is down 55%since you elected me. We are working to better enforce speeding laws in our neighborhoods by hiring more officers and creating a traffic patrol unit. I support expanding neighborhood communication to identify and deal with problems quickly.
