Full Biography for Juanita Haugen

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Pleasanton Unified School District; Term

I am Juanita Haugen. I am running for re-election to the School Board with Pleasanton Unified School District. I have volunteered actively in our schools for over 30 years.I believe that we must serve the needs of ALL children and that it can best be done through our Strategic Plan. Our Strategic Plan focuses on student achievement, communications, and partnerships. I also volunteer at the State and National level because the folks in Sacramento and Washington need to have a local perspective on critical educational issues. In return, our district receives current up-to-date information and has input on critical issues we face daily. This also helps us make the Strategic Plan a reality. In all of these activities, I serve as a volunteer. Many weekends are spent away from home in order to bring back to our community the timely information necessary to improve our fine District.
