Political Philosophy for John A. DonofrioCandidate for |
Senator Hubert Humphrey once said: "The moral test of government is how it treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the aged; and those who are in the shadows of life, the poor, the needy, the handicapped." As public officials charged with the responsibility of the public trust, we must always be vigilant of the taxpayer's money. This is most important in the Treasurer's office. The importance of safety and security can never be over-emphasized or over-stated. Elected officials must respond to the needs of the public and of changing times. |
