Highlights of John Donofrio's accomplishment as Summit County Treasurer for the past 20 years.
We have initiated several programs in Summit County that have received awards and recognition nationally as well as being duplicated across the state. The Real Estate Escrow Program was established to assist taxpayers by providing them with monthly budgeting of taxes. This is a widely used program for taxpayers that have paid off their homes and were accustomed to making monthly installment payments on their taxes before their mortgages were paid off.

Recipient of an Achievement Award for the Real Estate Tax Assistance Program from the3 National, Association of Counties
1987
Special Recognition by way of Resolutions and Proclamations from the State of Ohio, City of Akron and Barberton and Summit County for the Delinquent Tax Payment Plan
1988
Recipient of two Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties for the Real Estate Escrow Program and the Delinquent Tax Payment Plan
1989
Recipient of an Achievement Award for the Donofrio Local Linked Deposit Loan Program from the National Association of Counties
1996
Recipient of an Achievement Award for the Real Estate Tax Discount Program from the National Association of Counties
