Senior Citizens
Richard Cordray's proposals for protecting seniors include instituting a Senior Citizens Advocacy Section in the Attorney General's office, and establishing and publishing grades for the state's nursing homes.

Children
As Attorney General, Richard Cordray will restore the Children's Protection Section of the Attorney General's office to focus on issues of child abuse, child care, and child support, and will reinstate the Ohio Safe Schools initiative.

Law Enforcement
Richard Cordray has outlined a hard-hitting agenda for fighting crime, which includes stiffening penalties for juvenile crime and getting tough on political corruption.

Campaign Ethics
Richard Cordray believes it is important to put ethics before fundraising. He will not accept contributions from those under criminal investigation, and he will fight corrupt insurance bureaucrats who rip off Ohio's families.

Privacy
As Attorney General, Richard Cordray will introduce a wide range of initiatives to protect the privacy of Ohio's citizens in the face of the multiple dangers presented by rapidly developing technologies.

Environment
Richard Cordray's history of support for the environment, and his understanding of the role the Attorney General can play in protecting the environment have earned him the support of the Ohio Sierra Club and other environmental groups.

Tobacco Policy
Richard Cordray has set forth guidelines as to when , and how, the Attorney General's office should get involved in complex national litigation to protect Ohio's citizens. As Attorney General, Richard Cordray will fight to protect our children from smoking by banning advertising and marketing geared to children.

Private Prisons
Richard Cordray is a leader in the fight against privatizing prisons (and other essential state functions), and, as Attorney General, he will continue fight against importing violent out of state prisoners into our communities.

Education
Richard Cordray recognizes that every Ohio child has a right to a quality education, and he has explained why the Attorney General's office should fight to protect that right rather than defend the legislature's refusal to comply with the Ohio Supreme Court's mandate to fix Ohio's school funding system.

Urban Areas
Richard Cordray's agenda for protecting our cities includes fighting urban crime, protecting civil rights, prosecuting hate crimes, and fighting for economic and racial justice.
