Leadership does not come from the top down. It is important to include many members of the district and/or community. Their views, suggestions, and ideas are very much a part of successful government.

  • I support a woman's right to privacy and her right to achieve all that is possible in a fair and equal working environment.

  • Our children also have the right to achieve all that they can. I support expanded federal funds for public education so that ALL CHILDREN may achieve their best potentials to prepare them for the 21st century workforce. I support hiring more qualified teachers and lower class sizes at all grade levels.

  • I support a safe and affordable health care for all. There are 43 million Americans who have no health care coverage, and for those that do have insurance, the prevalence of managed care (HMO'S) has changed the way doctors treat their patients. HMO's need to be regulated so that patient's quality of care does not come second to profits.

  • I will advocate to reduce government spending, cut taxes and protect taxpayers rights. As a CPA practitioner, I will use that knowledge to scrutinize and solve wasteful and abusive bureacratic practices and accounting.

  • I will work very hard to keep the Social Security system intact. As a congresswoman, I will work very hard to enact laws that will ensure the integrity of this program and oppose any measure that would increase eligibility requirements and reduced medical care for the elderly.

  • I support stronger gun controls . Let us keep guns away from young people's hands and pass laws to hold parents and adults accountable.

  • I believe that strong economy depends on a healthy environment. I support enforcement of pollution laws. I also support free trade, job creation, union organization, economic conversion from a cold war to peacetime economy.

  • As a naturalized American Citizen, I can truly appreciate the ideals of this nation, that given reasonable opportunity to excel, anyone can improve their condition. This is a right I plan to defend on the floor of the House of Representatives.
