Using the acronym S.A.T.S.,

T is for Teachers
S is for Standards
S is for Safety and Health.
My solutions to safety are:
Encourage and educate students and teachers to be on the alert for troubled students. Supplement the conflict resolution program with counselor who are skilled at working with angry teens. Educate parents on the dangers of keeping unlocked weapons in their home. Set up a system for race relations.
A is for Accountability
I will be and advocate for students, for the district's educational programs and for public education. Board members need to be accountable to the public for the results of their schools.
T is for Teachers
We need to retain quality teachers. If we keep our teachers happy, we keep our children educated!
S is for Standards
As a parent and community leader, I am a member of the Project 2000 Panel. The implementation of the required graduation competencies will begin in the year 2000. I have given my input as a parent on this committee, so that our children are given the opportunity to success in the future!
