I make every attempt to be gender neutral in my hiring practices. However, I find that I have predominately hired women because the best candidates I have found happen to be women. As a result, most of the management for my private business, two-thirds of my legislative staff at City Hall, and two thirds of my campaign staff, including my campaign manager, are female. I trust these women to competently handle complex and important decision-making; I listen to
and abide by their advice; I challenge and am challenged by them.
