Full Biography for Greg SellersCandidate for |
Greg Sellers moved to Morgan Hill with his family while still in elementary school. He has seen many changes in the last 25 years, and has been part of some of Morgan Hill's greatest achievements. Greg was an active Live Oak High School student. He served as student School Board representative and was a member of the nationally acclaimed Emerald Regime Band. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1983, Greg began his professional career in the Bay Area. Greg returned to Morgan Hill to become Executive Director of the non-profit Morgan Hill Downtown Revitalization Program. In just four years, he helped bring 82 new jobs, 14 new businesses and nearly a half million dollars in private investment to our downtown, transforming it into the historic and cultural center of our community. Greg has always been active in our community. He helped found the Taste of Morgan Hill festival and has been part of over a dozen major community organizations (see below). Though Greg has become CEO of a successful national political consulting and public relations firm, his top priority remains his family. His wife Suzi is a Morgan Hill native, and his immediate family remains active in Morgan Hill today. As Greg says, "I am running for City Council to make sure our two sons have the same opportunities Suzi and I had growing up in Morgan Hill." Past and Current Community Activities:
