ABOUT DOT SCHREINER Born in New York City. Attended business school and NYU. Worked in personnel management. Married Bob Schreiner and moved to California in 1957. Raised three children - Joan, Lynn, and Tim who live and work in the Valley. For 20 years was active in local politics, school affairs, PTA president, and Little League coordinator. Representative on school restructuring and PTA Council. Was part of the early days of Silicon Valley when Bob worked at Fairchild Semiconductor and provided office for the initial stages of his successful semiconductor startup - Synertek. In 1981 moved to the Hills and became involved in Town government by joining the Pathway Committee. Served as chair of the Pathway Committee for 3-years. Appointed to the Planning Commission in 1992, chair in 1994, currently in 6th year. Major contributor to the Design Guidelines, Town Handbook, Housing and Pathway Elements of the General Plan. |
