I believe that the role of city government is to provide services needed by its' citizens. Government cannot succeed at this task without full and open dialog with residents. This means soliciting, listening to and responding to citizens' concerns. City government should reflect a collaborative vision of the city of the future, consistent with the desires of the residents.
