- A greater emphasis throughout the instructional program on acquisition of knowledge and skills, rather than simply the ability to retrieve and cite information.
- Institutional research to evaluate the effectiveness of different learning strategies, such as lecture-discussion, collaborative interaction, computer assisted, on-line, use of television, etc.
- Return to collegial negotiations and shared governance involving all elements of the District: classified, faculty, administration, and the Board of Trustees.
n Progress toward achievement of the State guideline of a 75/25 ratio between full-time and part-time faculty.
- Increased support for students in need of basic skills: more scheduled sections instructed by faculty skilled at and committed to remedial studies; realistic counseling for student placement.
