Full Biography for Steve Glickman

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Los Gatos Union School District

For the past eight years I have served on our district's Board of Trustees.

During that time, I have worked with parents and staff on technology, curriculum, facilities, and finance committees.

As a volunteer, I teach a computer science class in our middle school every morning before going to work, using a curriculum I developed. This gives me the opportunity to meet daily with our students and staff.

When the County Committee on School District Organization proposed massive territory transfers into our district, I sought and was elected to a seat on that body, to keep the best interests of students the foremost priority.

I am a single parent whose children graduated from our public schools. I also have a Ph.D. in physics and 25 years of academic and business experience, here and in Europe. I operate a small software company, and am an assistant professor of medical physics at UCSF.
