Morgan Hill is a quality community and needs quality programs and recreational resources which provide diverse activities and support services for all of our community members. These programs and facilities make our home town a special place to live and play.

However, safety is the primary mission of our City and like most California cities, Morgan Hill must address the issues of occasional gang activity, graffiti and traffic. Foster has joined with other Council members to significantly increase the funding allocated to the Morgan Hill Police Department. The Council has also created a strong awareness in our community, helping to establish the foundation the Police Department needs to effectively use these resources.

The Redevelopment Agency for the City is an effective capital raising resource. I voted for and then co-chaired, with Steve Tate, Citizens for a Better Morgan Hill campaign which obtained over 70% Citizen approval to raise $147 million over the next 10 years for a large variety of public projects including a Community Cultural Center, an Aqua Center, new sports fields and storm drainage ponds, new roads, Senior and Youth Center, and highway funds, to mention just the most prominent items.
