Arguments For Measure L |
Section 811 of the City Charter provides Anti-discrimination
and Anti-favoritism policy statements regarding hiring and job performance
for City employees. State and Federal regulations have become much more
specific since the Charter was adopted in 1960. The proposed language conforms
to the latest State and Federal laws. To aid in the Charter "clean-up",
the City Council recommends you vote yes on Measure L.
